CAN MUAY THAI FIGHTERS FINISH ON THE YOUTH GAMES PODIUM?

Jordan’s Muay Thai fighters will kick off their campaigns tomorrow (Thursday), in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, being hosted by Bahrain through to October 31.
The team includes Ward Neroukh, Karam Al-Marboo’a, Al-Rayan Azmeqna, Rayan Ahmad, Salina Al-Hayek, and Saleh Al-Aidi, under the guidance of coaches Suhib Awad and Mohammad Amer.
Al-Marboo’a will open Jordan’s campaign against Uzbekistan’s Shujkhan Abdulayev in the Round of 16 for the 48kg category, while Azmeqna will meet Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Karbuzov in the 51kg division.
Neroukh will compete in the 57kg category against Tajikistan’s Mohammad Safarov, while Ahmad will take on Thailand’s Phusaranwit Siang in the 60kg division, both in the Round of 16.
On Friday, Al-Aidi (54kg) will face Iraq’s Mohammad Ibrahim in his Round of 16 bout.
Meanwhile, Salina Al-Hayek will compete in the semi-finals of the 40kg division against Iran’s Baran Jini on Saturday.
