JORDAN OPEN YOUTH GAMES HANDBALL CAMPAIG WITH DEFEAT

Jordan have lost to Saudi Arabia in their opening handball match at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, held in Manama, Bahrain.

Saudi opened a first half advantage by 16-5 and went on to win the match comfortably 33-11 in Group A that also includes Hong Kong, Bahrain, and The Maldives, who Jordan play next on Thursday at 4pm.

The Handball competition at the Asian Youth Games features 11 teams, divided into two groups - five teams in Group A and six in Group B.

The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals.
