HRH Princess Sara leads first Jordanian delegation to Asian Youth Games

Her Royal Highness Princess Sara bint Feisal has led the first Jordanian delegation to Manama, Bahrain, to participate in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, taking place from October 22-31.
This first delegation includes members of the administrative and medical staff, along with the women’s volleyball team and the men’s handball team, who will open Jordan’s participation in the Games.
Jordan will compete in the Asian Youth Games (Bahrain 2025) with a delegation of 120 athletes, representing handball, volleyball, mixed martial arts, taekwondo, basketball, muay thai, golf, boxing, athletics, triathlon, cycling, esports, swimming, wrestling, judo, jiu-jitsu, equestrian, camel racing, and kurash.
The women’s volleyball team will play its first match against Hong Kong on Sunday at 11:30 am, as part of Group B which also includes China.
Meanwhile, the men’s handball team will begin its campaign on Monday, facing Saudi Arabia at 5pm in Group A, which also features Bahrain, The Maldives and Hong Kong.
The Games will officially open with the opening ceremony on Wednesday, with the participation of over 4,000 athletes from 45 National Olympic Committees expected.
Jordan previously won three medals in the past two editions of the Asian Youth Games, achieved by squash player Mohammad Al-Sarraj and taekwondo fighters Anas Al-Awarani and Rania Al-Fawa’ra.
