BRONZE FOR ASMAA AT WORLD POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s Asmaa Issa has won a bronze medal for Jordan at the World Para Powerlifting Championships, which are taking place in Cairo, Egypt.
Issa secured third place in the 79kg weight category, lifting an amazing 136kg as her best attempt, with a total of 393kg across all lifts.
China’s Han Miaoyu claimed the silver medal with a lift of 143kg, while Nigeria’s Rita Ferdinand won the gold after lifting 153kg.
Jordan will continue its participation in the championship on Sunday, as Mohammad Tarbash competes in the 59kg weight category.
