Jordan Olympic Committee Meets with Delegations for the Asian Youth Games and Islamic Solidarity Games

Her Royal Highness Princess Sara bint Feisal, Deputy Director of the Olympic Preparation Programme at the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), led a meeting held by the JOC on Wednesday with the delegations of the Asian Youth Games (Bahrain 2025) and the Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025). The meeting was also attended by JOC Vice President Jihad Qutaishat and JOC Secretary General, Rana Al-Saeed.
During the meeting, Her Royal Highness expressed her confidence in the ambition and dedication of the athletes participating in the upcoming events, emphasising the importance of maintaining discipline and commitment to achieving the best possible results and representing Jordan honorably.
She also wished both delegations success, praising the determination and spirit that characterise Jordan’s national teams.
The Asian Youth Games will be held in Bahrain from October 22-31, with HRH Princess Sara bint Faisal heading the Jordanian delegation, which includes 120 athletes competing in handball, volleyball, mixed martial arts, taekwondo, basketball, muay thai, golf, boxing, athletics, triathlon, cycling, esports, swimming, wrestling, judo, jiu-jitsu, equestrian, camel racing, and kurash.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Solidarity Games will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 7-21, 2025, with JOC Vice President Jihad Qutaishat leading the Jordanian delegation of 43 athletes representing taekwondo, wushu, jiu-jitsu, karate, muay thai, athletics, weightlifting, esports, camel racing, para sports, fencing, boxing, and equestrian.
Qutaishat expressed his pride in leading Jordan’s delegation to the Islamic Solidarity Games, affirming his confidence in the athletes’ ability to achieve results worthy of Jordanian sport.
For her part, Al-Saeed commended the efforts of the national teams over the past period and reviewed the administrative and organisational guidelines to be followed during both events, wishing both delegations the best of luck and success in their upcoming participation.
