SILVER FOR HINDI AT WORLD PARA ATHLETICS

Jordan’s Ahmad Hindi won a brilliant silver medal on Sunday in the F34 shot put event at the World Para Athletics Championships, held in New Delhi, India.
Hindi secured second place with a throw of 11.87 meters, finishing behind Iran’s Mehran who claimed gold with a new world record throw of 12.27 meters.
The bronze medal went to Mauricio Valencia from Colombia, who recorded a throw of 11.50 meters.
Hindi had previously won gold medals in the last three consecutive editions of the World Championships, held in the UAE (2019), France (2023), and Japan (2024). He is also the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games gold medallist and Paris 2024 bronze medallist.
