Asian Heyball Championships underway in Amman

Oct 04, 2025
The Asian Heyball Championship for men and women officially kicked off on Saturday at the Mina Tyche Hotel in Amman, organised by the Jordan Billiards and Snooker Federation.
The championship features players from 18 Asian countries and will run until October 7, followed by the Asian Open Championship, which will begin on October 8 with the participation of 25 countries from around the world, continuing until October 12.
Heyball is a modern and fast-paced form of billiards known for its excitement and intensity, as players aim to clear a set of balls within a short time, making it more dynamic and engaging compared to traditional billiards formats.
President of the Jordan Billiards and Snooker Federation, Nasser Al-Hadid, emphasised that hosting this event provides Jordanian players with a valuable opportunity to compete against top players from Asia and the world. He added that organising such continental and international tournaments reflects Jordan’s proven ability to host major sporting events to the highest standards.
