Jordan have their eye on medals with a strong team putting their finishing touches in place for the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain from October 22-31.
The squad will feature Fatima Al-Abdallat, Lian Al-Rawashdeh, Rania Taqatqa, Zainab Baseeleh, Lama Al-Qour, Abdullah Shaheen, Ahmad Al-Rababaa, Ahmad Al-Dahamsha, Laith Hisham, and Mohammad Ezzat.
The team aims to deliver strong performances, achieve top results, and secure podium finishes in what is considered one of the most competitive youth tournaments in Asia.
Head coach, Faris Al-Assaf, said that preparations are progressing well through regular training sessions to ensure the athletes reach the required readiness.
The Taekwondo competitions at the Asian Youth Games will take place from October 23-26, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
It is worth noting that Taekwondo brought home two bronze medals for Jordan at the 2nd Asian Youth Games in 2013, held in Nanjing, China, through Anas Al-Ourani and Rania Al-Fawa’erah.
