JORDAN INTERNATIONAL TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF TODAY

Almost 120 players from 11 countries are taking part in the 2nd Jordan International Table Tennis Championship in Amman.
Running through until Friday, the tournament features players from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Thailand, Chinese Taipei as well as the host nation, and comes under supervision from the international federation.
Fawaz Al Sharabi, Jordan Table Tennis Federation President, said that hosting such a tournament is key to raising the levels of the sport in the country and pointed out that the international federation will be distributing financial rewards for the top three athletes in all age categories.
Matches will be held at the Federation HQ during both the mornings and evenings and entry is free to watch.
