After Jordan qualified for the FIFA World Cup, the Kingdom’s eFootball console team has qualified for the FIFAe World Cup, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 10-13.
Jordan secured their place by winning their group with 30 points, achieving 10 wins out of 12 matches, before overcoming Uzbekistan in the semi-finals and defeating Lebanon in the final to guarantee a spot among the world’s elite teams.
This participation reflects the Jordan Football Association’s commitment to embracing the global rise of eFootball by reaching new segments of football fans, tapping into the game’s growing commercial and marketing potential, and providing local players with opportunities to showcase their skills and compete at the highest levels.
The Jordan Football Association officially launched the national eFootball team in cooperation with the Jordan eSports Federation, following a series of measures that included workshops and coordination with FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation.
The team has since participated in the inaugural AFC eAsian Cup 2023 in Doha, as well as the 5th West Asian Championship 2024 held in Amman.
