OLYMPIANS EXIT WORLD BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Olympians Hussein Ishaish and Obada Al-Kasbeh have are out of the World Boxing Championships taking place in Liverpool, England.

Al-Kasbeh suffered defeat in his second bout, losing narrowly to Japan’s Shion Nishiyama, 2-3, in the Round of 32 of the -65kg category.

Meanwhile, Ishaish was eliminated after falling to India’s Chahar Lakshya in the Round of 32 of the -80kg category.

Jordan’s participation continues on Monday, as Ziad Ishaish will compete in his second bout of the tournament against Georgia’s Luka Nikabadze in the Round of 16 of the -70kg category.
