JORDAN BEAT BHUTAN IN AFC U-23 ASIAN CUP QUALIFIER

Jordan’s U-23 football team thrashed Bhutan 11-0 on Wednesday in their opening match of Group A in the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026, held at King Abdullah II Stadium.
Ibrahim Sabrah bagged a hat-trick, Oudah Al-Fakhouri scored twice and there was a goal apiece for Mohammad Kahlan, Mo’men Al-Saket, Ayham Al-Samamreh, Amin Al-Shenaina and Abdullah Al-Muneis, with an own goal making up the 11.
Jordan will face Chinese Taipei next on Saturday, after they lost their opener against Turkmenistan 5-1.
The qualification format sees the 11 group winners advance to the finals, along with the four best second-placed teams, joining hosts Saudi Arabia to complete the line-up of 16 teams.
