BOXERS HEAD TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN LIVERPOOL

Jordan has sent a top-class squad of fighters to take part in the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, England over the next fortnight.
Huthaifa Al-Ashish (-50kg), Yousef Al-Ashish (-55kg), Mohammad Abu Jajeh (-60kg), Obada Al-Kasbeh (-65kg), Ziad Al-Ashish (-70kg), Mohammad Al-Hussein (-75kg), and Hussein Al-Ashish (-80kg) are all confident of making an impact.
The delegation also includes the technical staff led by Cuban head coach, Dagoberto, along with coaches Alex and Jihad Abu Al-Khair, team manager Mahmoud Al-Shawabkeh, and Dr. Haitham Bahr.
In preparation for the championship, the team intensified its training in recent weeks, including a training camp in Spain.
The Liverpool World Championships are expected to feature more than 550 boxers from around 65 countries.
In the last edition of the World Championships, Jordan achieved a historic milestone when Abu Jajeh won the bronze medal.
