JOC TRAINING UP COMMUNITY SPORTS LEADERS

Aug 31, 2025
The Jordan Olympic Committee has launched a course to empower young men and women to become community leaders and make a difference in the places they live.
The ‘Community Sports Leaders’ training course is organised by the JOC’s Sport for All Department as part of their Community Sports Initiatives Support and Empowerment Project.
This project is one of the initiatives under the National Programme for the Development of Community Sports, aiming to support and implement a range of community-based sports initiatives while encouraging individuals to engage in physical activity.
It also seeks to empower young men and women to design and plan sports initiatives that serve their local communities, while promoting a culture of community sport as a means of fostering both physical and mental well-being.
The project aspires to expand sports participation by involving diverse community groups in the implemented initiatives, while strengthening a participatory approach with local institutions and individuals to facilitate the effective execution of community sports activities.
