NASH WELCOMES 2,000TH MEMBER TO HIS CLUB
May 30, 2016
Nash, the Jordan Olympic Committee’s children’s ambassador, has welcomed the 2,000th member to his club following another action packed Kids Day held in Madaba.
Around 150 children from the Usrah School joined the popular character for a day of activity which encourages children to make sport and healthy living a part of their everyday lives.
The project was launched last year and has gone down a storm, with many youngsters discovering the power of sport for the first time.
Following a fun and interactive indoor session, where the children learn about Nash and where the character, based on the Black Iris, hails from, they join their new hero for fun and games in the playground.
They finish the day by taking a Nash Club pledge when they promise that win or lose they will show RESPECT to all; always play FAIR; TRY their best; be HEALTHY and, most importantly, have FUN.
The visits to schools will take a summer break and resume in the autumn, meanwhile Nash will make a number of surprise appearances over the coming months.
