YOUTH RUGBY TOURNAMENT ON FRIDAY

The sport of rugby may be new to Jordan, but it is gathering momentum and Friday (tomorrow) there will be dozens of youngsters playing in their first tournament.
The Youth 7s Championship will see the participation of players from 13 teams who will be competing in U9, U11, U13 and U17 competitions.
The tournament falls under the ‘Get into Rugby’ initiative put in place by the Jordan Rugby Committee to spread the game among youngsters across the Kingdom.
After tomorrow, the tournament will continue on Friday, April 26, at the Jordan Rugby Festival when a number of activities will be held alongside a full Test match between Jordan and Saudi Arabia in the Asian Rugby Championship (Division Three West).
