Basketball committee outline intentions

The interim committee of the Jordan Basketball Federation has spoken to the media today to outline their immediate plans for the sport.
Held at the Kia headquarters, Mohammed Aliyan, interim committee head, explained their priorities focussed on good governance, and said the strategic plan would develop high performance and capacity building, as well as implanting a calendar for the year.
Marwan Mautouq, Director of National Teams Development and the manager of the promising Falcons programme, explained that the programme’s next steps would be to create a base of age groups through approximately 20 centres spread across all governorates of the Kingdom.
The coach of the national team, Wisam Assous, said the national team would participate in the Qatar International Basketball Championship, scheduled from February 15-18, before embarking on its qualification journey for the 31st Asia Cup 2025 to be held in Saudi Arabia.
Jordan will also face Palestine on the February 23 at the Prince Hamzah Hall in Al Hussein Youth City, before visiting Saudi Arabia on the 26th.
