Badminton team tops Arab medals table

Jordan’s national badminton team has topped the medal table at the Arab Badminton Championship for youth and seniors, hosted in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh.
More than 100 players representing 15 Arab teams took part, with Jordan winning seven medals, including three gold, three silver, and one bronze.
The three gold medals were achieved by Baha'a Al-Shanik and Damo' Amro in the mixed doubles; Mariam Abu Ara in the women’s -19 singles, and Marah Omar and Mariam Abu Ara in the women’s doubles.
The three silver medals were won by Marah Omar in the women’s singles, Amro in the women’s singles, and Amro and Abu Ara in the women’s doubles.
The pair of Ahmed Al-Sweidan and Abu Ara secured the single bronze in the mixed doubles.
