His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and Executive Board Member of the International Olympic Committee, has attended the glittering Opening Ceremony for the 19th Asian Games, hosted by the Chinese city of Hangzhou from September 23-October 8.
HRH Prince Feisal has issued a rallying call to the 78 Jordanian athletes representing the Kingdom in 15 sports to make us all proud with the country standing right behind them.
This will be Jordan’s ninth appearance at the Games, since a debut in 1986 in South Korea’s capital city, Seoul.
Over the next fortnight, Jordan will be competing in archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, fencing, golf, gymnastics, judo, karate, esports, shooting, taekwondo, triathlon, and weightlifting.
The Hangzhou edition of the Asian Games is the largest in its history with around 12,400 athletes from 45 countries participating in 40 sports.
