GOLD AGAIN FOR ABU GHOUSH

Jordan’s Olympic taekwondo hopeful Ahmad Abu Ghoush appears to be in superb form as the final Olympic qualifiers approach after winning another gold medal at the weekend.
Abu Ghosh’s latest success came at the 3rd Luxor Open Championships, where he was joined on the podium by five other Jordanian medal winners.
Bana Daraghmeh (silver), Rania Fawaeer (bronze), Razan Al Sa'aydeh (bronze) and Eman Al Adayleh (bronze) won medals in the female competitions, while Mutasem Abu Zaid added a silver for the men’s team.
And there is a hope for more glory with Anas Al Adarbeh, Saleh Al Sharabati, Hamzeh Qattan, Juliana Al Sadeq and Waed Al Torman all in action on the final day of the event which has attracted 195 athletes from across the world.
The final chance for taekwondo fighters to qualify for the Rio Olympics this summer comes next month in the Philippines at the Asian qualifiers.
