Jordan have ended their campaign at the Asian Ju-Jitsu Championships by adding another four medals, including one gold, two silver and one bronze to take their tally to six medals in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The latest medals were won by Abdul Rahman Abu Rumaila (gold, -94kg), Alaa El-Din Al Khuzaei (silver, -77kg), Rania Muqbel (silver, -52kg), and Muhammad Tajka (bronze, -94kg).
It meant Jordan finished with a collection of two gold, three silver, and one bronze with Yara Qaqish (gold, -70kg) and Yasmine Al-Alami (silver, -57kg) successful the previous day.
Abu Rumaila’s golden run came after wins over fighters from Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, UAE before beating the host nation’s Shamkhalov-Mertz in the final.
Al-Khuzaei’s silver was won after victories over competitors from Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Thailand before losing to Emirati Mohammed Omari in the final.
Moqbel journey towards her silver started with wins over Emirati and Thai fighters before losing to an opponent from Vietnam in the final.
Tajka settled for bronze after losing in the quarter-final to Iraq’s Alaa Al-Loghani. He then went into the bronze medal competition where he beat teammate Nabil Abdel Hamid and the Kazakh, Sanzhar.
