GX GYMNASTICS IS UNDERWAY

The 3rd GX International Gymnastics Championships got underway in Jordan today with 150 gymnasts from nine clubs representing Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The impressive opening ceremony was attended by Rima Kizilgen, from Turkey, who is Chair of the Technical Committee of the Asian Gymnastics Federation, as well as Rima Amer, Tournament Director and Head of the Technical Committee of the Arab Gymnastics Federation.
Other prominent attendees included Sawsan Ezzeldin, from Lebanon, and Rabab Al Haris, from Kuwait, who are members of The Technical Committee of the Arab Gymnastics Federation.
Jordanian international referees, Dima Al-Shara and Alaa Haikal, will be the tournament judges.
Amer said: “The tournament goes from strength to strength and this year it has welcomed huge participation of both male and female gymnasts.
“This is particularly pleasing as the championship aims to promote participation for both sexes.”
