JUJITSU TEAM HEADS TO ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s Jujitsu team has arrived in Abu Dhabi ahead of the 5th Asian Championships being held from September 13-16.
Jordan will be represented in the men’s competitions by Abdul Majeed Al Faouri (-69kg), Alaa Al Khuza’I and Hamza Othman (-77kg), Badr Al Khuzai and Haider Al-Rasheed (-85kg), Basil Fanous and Zaid Jarndouqa (-94kg) with high hopes to replicate previous successes at the event.
Th women’s team includes Rania Moqbel (-52kg), Yasmine Al-Alami (- 57kg), Rana Al-Qubbaj and Yara Qaqish (-70 kg) and Batoul Jekat (-70kg).
The team has been training hard under the leadership of men's coach, Zaid Abu Saud, and women's coach, Lama Al-Qubbaj, to reach their best technical and physical levels possible.
Jordan has developed a reputation as one of the leading nations for JuJitsu in Asia and has previously won 15 medals at the championships, including six gold, three silver and six bronze in the past four editions.
Fourth Edition: Mongolia in 2019, Jordan won six medals:

Third Edition: Kazakhstan 2018, Jordan won three medals:

• Zaid Jarndouqa (Bronze)
• Yasmine Al-Khateeb (Bronze)
The second edition: Vietnam in 2017, Jordan won four medals:
• Hamza Al-Rasheed (Gold)
• Rana Qubbaj (Gold)
• Rana Qubbaj – Open-weight (Bronze)
• Zaid Jarndouqa (Bronze)
The first edition: Turkmenistan in 2016, Jordan won two medals:
• Haider Al-Rasheed (Gold)
• Lama Qubbaj (Gold)
