HINDI WINS FOURTH PARALYMPIC GOLD MEDAL FOR JORDAN

Sep 04, 2021
Ahmed Hindi has completed a remarkable Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games for Jordan by winning the shot put, the Kingdom’s fourth gold medal.
But not only did the 25-year-old clinch top spot in his F34 class, he did it with a new World and Paralympic record throw of 12.25m, raising his previous world best by 8cm.
He finished well clear of the field, with Morocco’s Azzedine Nouiri finishing second with 11.55m. Qatar’s AbdulRahman Fiqi completed an all-Arab podium in third.
It completes a brilliant Games for Jordan who won three Powerlifting gold medals earlier in the Games, and also a bronze medal in Table Tennis to make it the most successful participation ever.
