PUT QUITS AS JORDAN HEAD COACH

Jordan Football Association has named Abdullah Abu Zema as caretaker coach for the Men’s Senior National Team following Paul Put’s resignation from his position as head coach due to health concerns.
The decision was taken during the Executive Committee meeting that on Tuesday, headed by Jordan FA vice-president Salahuddin Sabra at the Jordan FA headquarters.
Belgian, Put, submitted his resignation on Tuesday following a health setback that will require continuous medical care, rest, treatment, and will obstruct him from doing his duties as National Team head coach.
Jordan Football Association said it appreciated the high-sense of responsibility of Put for submitting his resignation, in addition to his trustworthiness in informing the Jordan FA with his current health status, which requires constant medical care and supervision.
In light of Put’s resignation, Jordan FA’s Executive Committee appointed assistant coach Abu Zema as National Team caretaker coach while maintaining the current team officials, coaching, and medical staff.
Under Put, Jordan transformed their fortunes through 2015, becoming one of the fastest climbers in the FIFA rankings.
