SPORT’S ELECTIONS POSTPONED TO 2021
Jul 13, 2020
The quadrennial elections to elect members to the Jordan Olympic Committee as well as Jordan’s national sports federations have been postponed to 2021.
The elections traditionally follow the Olympic Games which were previously postponed to 2021 and last night, under the presidency of HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the JOC, the general assembly voted to endorse the postponement.
The meeting, which was held online, also agreed to adjust Article 9 and 10 (Statement A) of the national sport federation regulations by deleting the phrase “whether if held or not” regarding the date of elections, and instructed the JOC executive office to carry on with its procedures.
The General Assembly also approved the Financial and Administrative reports for 2019, as well as displaying the 2019 annual report.
