ALL SET FOR KARATE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s leading young fighters are all set to bid for medals at the World Karate Championships which get underway in Santiago, Chile, on Thursday.
Lina Mansour, Saeed Al Najjar, Mohammad Al Jafari and Ibrahim Shamoun will compete tomorrow. Lina will face Cloudmar Gratrol from Venezuela, while Al Najjar will await the winner between Juan Camilio from Colombia and Russia’s Akhmadove.
Al Jafari will fight Saudi Arabia’s Ahmad Al Malki, and Shamoun will meet Turkey’s Kadir Farkan.
The team for impressive performances, especially after winning 13 medals in the Asian Championships and 14 in the Premier League.
