JORDAN READY FOR WEST ASIAN PARA GAMES

The Jordan Paralympic Committee has finished its final preparations to host the 2nd West Asian Para Games that will be held in Amman from September 19-22.

The event will welcome over 600 athletes representing 12 countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Athletes will compete in the six sports of Athletics, Wheelchair Basketball, Powerlifting, Table tennis, Boschia and Goal Ball.

A press conference will be held on Sunday at 10am to provide the latest updates with Jordan Chef De Mission, Dr. Amer Al Sha’aar, explaining that the host team expects to win a number of medals and hopefully lead the medal table.
