CHESS CHAMPION HONOURED BY JOC

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has honoured Chess player, Bushra Al Shuaibi in a ceremony held at the Amman headquarters today.

Al Shuaibi enjoyed an incredible 2018, culminating in winning gold at the Chess Olympiad held in Georgia last October.

Nasser Majali, Secretary General of the JOC, led the tributes by describing her achievement as “astonishing”. “We are so proud of Bushra in achieving this level on the world stage which is astonishing,” he said. “We stand behind all of our athletes who accomplish great things at the highest level and take great pride in recognising their efforts.”

Bushra expressed her appreciation to the JOC and praised the support show to all athletes by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the JOC.
