HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), has announced a 20,000JD annual award for scientific research that helps to develop sport within the Kingdom.
The JOC, the leading sports organisation in Jordan, says the award highlights the importance of scientific research in sport and hopes it will encourage innovation.
“Scientific research is playing an increasingly important role in modern day sport so we have announced these awards to encourage Jordanian researchers to focus on sport,” said JOC Secretary General, Lana Al Jaghbeer.
“We have huge number of researchers in Jordan who have great ideas to develop and improve different areas in the society, and this award will help them to show their creative thinking for the benefit of sport.”
There will be three annual cash awards of 10,000 JD (first), 6,000 JD (second) and 4,000 JD (third) and applicants should apply through www.joc.jo where the terms and conditions are also located.
