FOOTBALL YOUNGSTERS DRAW WITH KOREA

Jordan have drawn with North Korea in their opening Group B match at the AFC U16 Asian Cup being held in Malaysia.

Korea scored first in the 20th minute before Mohannad Simreen leveled for Jordan 10 minutes later.

After the break, Korea retook the lead but Amer Abu Jamous made it 2-2 in the 73th minute. Oman, who Jordan play next on Monday, beat Yemen in the other group game.

The championship has welcomed 16 teams divided into four groups with the top two going through to the quarter-finals.
