JOC TO CELEBRATE OLYMPIC DAY

Under the patronage of HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), the JOC will celebrate Olympic Day on Saturday.

The JOC will use the international celebration to promote the spirit of Olympism through a public event that will highlight the Asian Games being held in Indonesia from August 18-September 3.

A 1,600m fun run will be open for the public to participate with the first 30 home winning certificates for their participation.

The celebration will include music from the Gendarme band as well as Indonesian dance folklore provided by the Indonesian Embassy.

The celebration will be supported by the JOC’s official sponsors including Greater Amman Municipality, Umniah, Glosante, Al Shami, Al Rayyah and Samsung as well as the Olympic Day sponsors Indomi and Akwafina.
