MEDALS AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s Mona Bitar has won silver and bronze at the World Kettlebell Championships in Milan, Italy.

Bitar took silver in the Clean and Jerk after lifting the 16kg kettlebell 110 times and bronze in the Snatch with 152 lifts.

“I’m so delighted to be on the podium,” she said. “It felt so special representing my country so to actually win medals is an incredible feeling which is hard to describe.

I hope that my success will encourage more people to take up the sport in Jordan.”

The event attracted over 800 athletes representing 23 countries.
