BOXERS HEAD TO GERMANY

Jordan’s boxers are building up their preparations for the 18th Asian Games in August by heading to Germany for the Chemistry Cup this week.

Hussein Ishaish (+91kg), Ziad Ishaish (69kg), Mohammad Al Wadi (56kg) and Obadah Al Kesbeh (64kg) are all included and will be coached by Ezzeldein Aqqoun.

“It is a very strong championship with boxers competing from across the world,” said Aqqoun. “Our ultimate goal is to try and qualify more boxers for the Olympics so tournaments like this give them big time experience.”

Previously, Hussein Ishaish has won silver and Al Wadi took bonze in the 2016 edition of the Chemistry Cup.
