TRIATHLETES BID FOR YOUTH OLYMPIC SPOTS

Two of Jordan’s best up-and-coming triathletes are bidding to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games this Sunday in the Philippines.

Maxim Shami and Mariam Shabaan will compete at the Asian qualifying event being held in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, hoping to book their spots for Team Jordan to the Games later this year in Argentina.

Coach, Abdulaziz Al Shuaibi, has travelled with the pair and said they had acclimatized well to the conditions and have become familiar with the course.
