ANOTHER GOLD FOR KARATE AT ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan have won another youth gold medal at the Asian Karate Championships taking place in Japan.

Abdullah Hammad took the 61kg after beating Kazakhstan’s Maram Azamat, 3-0, in the final.

Earlier he beat Chinese Taipei’s Tcho Su, 2-0, before beating Iran’s Ali Riza, 4-1, in the quarter-final.

In the semi, he beat Indonesia’s Nure Haleem, 7-1.

This is the second gold for Jordan as Junior, Zaki Abu Ka’oud, took gold in their 70kg event
