ABU QAOUD WINS ASIAN GOLD

Zaki Abu Qaoud has won gold at the Asian Karate Championships taking place in Japan.
The youngster won the 70kg category after beating Chinese Taipei’s Chen Cheh 4-1 in the final.
Earlier he beat Japan’s Yukama Kautaru 8-3 and Vietnam’s Dang Tang 3-2 in the semi-final.
Afif Gaith missed out on the quarter-finals to Iran’s Hussein Khudari.
