AL OMARI WINS WADI RUM ENDURANCE

Saudi Arabia’s Faris Al Omari beat a top class field to take the Wadi Rum International Endurance on Saturday.
The Saudi took the 129kg title, beating Jordan’s Fahed Al Fayyez into second and another Jordanian, Khalil Ibrahim, in third.
In the 82kg race, Jordan’s Faris Al Shakhatreh took top spot followed by countryman Mohammad Khaldoun in second, with Saudi Arabia’s leading female equestrian athlete, Manal Bint Feisal, finishing third.
The event welcomed 65 riders representing Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and the hosts Jordan.
