EIGHT TEAMS TO CONTEST BEACH HANDBALL

The Jordan Beach Handball Championship will launch on Friday at the HRH Princess Ayah Al Feisal Court in Al Hussein Youth City.

The event will welcome eight teams from Irbid, Mutah University, Al Mantakah Al Shamalieh, Al Qawqazi, Al Darak, Al Ordeineh, Al Quds and Jerash.

The Jordan Handball Federation is organising this event to create more awareness about beach handball and to encourage more people to play it.

The Federation’s Dr. Mu'tasim Khatatbah said: "We found that many clubs wanted to compete so it was time to organise an event that can help this sport make an impression locally.

I am sure that this will be the first of many."
