The Jordan Wrestling Federation is hoping to discover fresh talent for its national team this weekend when it hosts the Jordan Wrestling Championships at Yarmouk Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.
The event will attract players representing eight clubs including Istiklal, Nasser, Hai Ameer Hassan, Dar Al Dawa', Al Zarqa', Amant Amman, Abu Nusair and Ettihad.
National coach, Yahyia Abu Tabeekh, said that the Olympic Preparations Programme wrestlers will be involved so that others can see the level they will need to reach.
Meanwhile, the juniors are getting ready to participate in the Asian Championships that will be held in Tashkent on May 13.
The event will be an opportunity for youngsters to book their place for the next Youth Olympic Games that will be held in Argentina later this year.
