NASHAMA SET FOR CAMBODIA
Nov 13, 2017
A draw will be enough for Jordan to book their spot in the finals of the 2019 Asia Cup when they meet Cambodia tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1pm our time.
Jordan are top of Group C with eight points, sharing pole position with Vietnam who are also expected to qualify when they meet Afghanistan.
Jordan coach, Jamal Abu Abed, said that his team are not taking anything for granted. “We have trained hard since we arrived in Cambodia,” he said. “The weather is warm and the players are doing well and are ready.”
Jordan beat Cambodia 7-0 in the home match earlier this year in Amman so are expected to secure a top two place and advance to the finals to be played in the UAE, featuring 24 teams which will be the biggest finals participation yet. Jordan has previously qualified for the finals in 2004, 2011 and 2015.
