Jordan’s emergence as a serious regional contender in athletics has been further proved with two more gold medals at the Arab Juniors Athletics Championship in Tunisia.
Aliya Bushnaq, who took 400m yesterday, added gold in the 200m after she crossed the finish line in 25.18 seconds.
Asian Junior Champion Sharief Al Atawneh proved he is the best in the Arab World too by winning the 3000m, stunning a quality field of North African runners.
Jordan ended their campaign with five medals after Nour Al Qadi took two bronze medals in the High Jump and the Long Jump.
The event welcomed 13 Arab countries including Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Sudan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iarq, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Qatar and Jordan.
