YOUNG ATHLETES RETURN FROM SUCCESSFUL THAILAND MISSION

 Jordan’s young athletes have returned from their participation at the Asian Youth Athletics Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Leading the six-member team was 17-year-old Shareif Al Atawneh who won gold in the 3,000m in a time of 8:35.49 minutes, a win that secures him a place at the World Youth Athletics Championships to be held in Kenya this summer.

He will joined there by teammate Alya Bushnaq who also made the qualifying time in the 100m and 400m events by reaching the finals of both events.
