AL-JAFARI INTO KARATE 1-PREMIER LEAGUE FINAL

Mohammad Al-Jafari has qualified for the final of the fourth round of the Karate 1-Premier League, held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

Al-Jafari cruised through to thefinal of the -84kg category after securing four consecutive victories.

He topped his group in the round-robin stage following wins against Japan's Haruya Toyoda (11-4) and Italy's Matteo Fiore (5-3).

In the quarter-finals, Al-Jafari defeated Morocco's Mehdi Sriti (8-2), before overcoming Greece's Konstantinos Mastrogiannis (4-2) in the semi-final to book his final spot, where he will face Egypt's Youssef Badawy tomorrow, Sunday.

Afif Ghaith also qualified for the -67kg final after securing five consecutive victories, setting up a clash against Morocco's Said Ubaya tomorrow in the final, also taking place tomorrow.
