Stephanie Al Naber has made a name for herself as a professional footballer, and

a player.

How did you get into your sport?
I used to play football when I was very young at home with my relatives, then I
played at the school team. Later I joined the Orthodox Club for two seasons but
in 2005 I joined Shabab Al Ordon Club. In 2005-2006 seasons I played my first
match for the National Team.

With Shabab Al Ordon I have won many championships

Amman Club Championship 2006

West Asian Championship in 2005 and 2007

Qualified for the finals in the West Asia in 2007

I was chosen as the best team sports women in for the Black Iris Sports Media

What is the biggest highlight / moment of your career?
My best moment was at the Abu Dhabi Football Championship when I was offered a
professional contract to play in Denmark, which I hope to take up.
- What are your ambitions / goals now?
To qualify to the world finals for women with Jordan.
- How do you think your sport can be improved?
Women’s football needs a lot of support and to focus on youth and all ages to
guarantee the competition between the players. We must spread the awareness
among the community about women taking part in sport.
- How do you spend your time away from sport?
With family, friends and studying.
- What are your main hobbies / interests?
Basketball.
- If you were given one million dinars how would you spend it?
I would invest it in sport by establishing a women’s football club and a school
to teach football.
- Who do you consider as your idol(s)?
On the personal level my father and my mother, on the sport level Kaka and Marta
the women’s footballer.
- Who are your favorite overseas and local athletes?
Locally Hassouneh Al Sheikh, and overseas the Brazilian player Kaka.
- What message or advice would you like to give youngsters coming into sport?
They have to play sport, train hard, and they have to keep what the previous
athletes achieved before.
- What is your Favorite food?
Maqloubeh.
- Who’s your favorite singer?
RAMI Ayyash.
- Last words for your fans?
I thank every body who supports women football and I ask everybody for more
support for this sport.
