SO CLOSE BUT NO MEDALS FOR PARALYMPIANS


 

Jordan’s Paralympic team has arrived back in Amman from the London 2012 Paralympic Games, having just missed out on two bronze medals.

Jordan came closest to a medal through table tennis star Maha Al Barghouthi who lost her bronze medal match to finish fourth. Her teammate Fatema Al Azzam lost in the second round of the same competition. The table tennis team exited after losing to Sweden.

Jamil Al Shebli also just missed out on a bronze in shot put when his 13.58m throw landed him fourth spot. Amer Al Abbadi placed 11th in shot and 14th in discus.

In powerlifting, Haidara Al Kawamleh finished seventh in the +100kg and Fatema Al Lawi was sixth in the 52kg.

Abed Al Ramahi jumped 5.66m to take 11th in the long jump.
