The federation was established under the name Sport Media Association in 1984 before it was renamed as the Jordan Sport Information Federation on 1989.

Achievements:

1. Hosting courses and seminars about Sport Media in order to improve the employees’ level according to the federation’s plans.
    

2. Sending the journalists with delegates and national teams to cover their participations in championships.
    

3. Forming media committees when Jordan hosts events and cover them.
    

4. Taking part in the courses and gatherings that were held by the Arab Sport Media Federation.
    

5. Taking part in all of the International, Regional and Arab meetings for Sport Media.
